About 

Christina Czaja received her BFA and MA from Eastern Michigan University. While working on her degrees and beyond she worked as a mural artist in the residential and commercial settings.  She has been teaching art in public education, both primary and secondary levels for the past 18 years. Additionally she has taught at Washtenaw Community College, local recreational centers, private lessons for both adult and youth. Her work encompasses many mediums including encaustic, painting, drawing, sculpture and mixed media.  Currently she has been exploring sculpture, encaustic in studio and plein air painting in the great outdoors. She has traveled to Italy, Traverse City and other local areas exploring the natural world through color and light. Past work emphasized figurative drawing, printmaking and mixed media. Christina enjoys taking classes and exploring the creative process.  She participates in juried and invitational exhibitions in the Detroit area and has had work for sale in Oscoda, Brighton, and Ypsilanti, MI.
